Peter the Great Spring
Spa owes its renown to its mineral water springs.
This water, traditionally acclaimed for its highly-beneficial properties, bubbles up in many places around the town.
A signposted walk allows you to discover the most remarkable springs.
Located in the town centre, Peter The Great's Spring (now the Tourist Office) is set inside an impressive building erected in 1880 and designed by the architect and town planner Victor Besme (1834-1904).
It shelters one of the town's most abundant and effervescent springs. Very rich in iron and minerals, and highly invigorating, it produces around 21,00 litres of water per day.
