Can a car be considered art? All depends on your personal definition of art. According to the Bauhaus streak, art can also have a function, rather than stand as a work of art by itself. Irrespective of the relevance of the question, there are plenty of arguments to consider automobiles as art. Between September 6th and December 15th, Autoworld is collecting the finest, most artistic icons that have marked automotive design. From a Bugatti 35 ‘Art Car’ via the Cisitalia 202 exhibited at New York's MoMa, past the voluptuous Lamborghini Miura, the indispensable Gullwing, the iconic E-type, the sophisticated Citroën DS to the Bauhaus Audi TT to name but a few: from 6 September, Autoworld will be dedicated to car design as art. And every effort will be made to display the exhibited cars in such a way that visitors can feast their eyes on every undulation and detail. The question of whether the car or a motorcycle can be art might be answered individually by each and every one by looking at the most expressive and diverse models. A must for every true car, motorcycle and art lover. Visitors can immerse themselves in what makes the automotive world so incredibly beautiful.

Belgium’s greatest motorsport icon, Jacky Ickx, turns 80 on January 1st, and Autoworld couldn’t let this milestone go unnoticed. A special exhibition, curated by our model expert Eric Janssen and complemented by the legendary Gulf Ford GT40, showcases the remarkable career of this versatile racer. From his beginnings on two wheels to touring car specialist, eight-time Formula 1 winner, six-time Le Mans champion, Can-Am champion, rally driver, and Dakar winner: a one-of-a-kind legacy worth celebrating.
